New York State Police say four suspects wanted in connection with a home invasion armed robbery in Otsego County near Butternuts have been taken into custody following a massive search that included neighboring Chenango County.

Troopers say the two men and two women were believed to have fled to an area around South New Berlin in Chenango County.

Neighbors were told to stay inside with their doors locked. The reported home invasion burglary happened at 2:48 p.m. August 13 on Route 18.
After a nine hour search that involved helicopters, police K-9s, law enforcement from Chenango County Sheriff’s, Otsego County Sheriff’s, New Berlin Police and Norwich police that included stopping cars and looking into trunks, 25 year old Michael Mack, 17 year old Ricky Woods, 24 year old Shirley Lamphere and 17 year old Jyra Nash, all from Utica were taken into custody and charged with felony burglary.
