Sea Dogs Face B-Mets
The Binghamton Mets homestand continues when they host the Portland Sea Dogs at NYSEG Stadium. May 26 the Akron RubberDucks rolled to a 6-1 victory over the B-Mets.
Coming into the latest contest, the B-Mets have a record of 24-20 while the Sea Dogs are 19-26. In seven previous meetings this season Binghamton is 5-2 versus Portland. The B-Mets have ripped five home runs in those seven games and averaged 5.4 runs per game.
Gabriel Ynoa puts a 2-2 record on the line against Portland's Joe Gunkel who is 1-0. Ynoa makes his eighth start of the season and second against Portland. Gunkel makes his second start with the Sea Dogs after going 1-1 in eight outings for Salem in High-A ball.
Game two in the series May 27 will feature Dillon Gee who is making a rehab start for Binghamton against William Cuevas for the Sea Dogs. Gee was 2-0 in four starts in Binghamton in 2008.
