Scott Dunlap holds a two shot lead over Glen Day, Bart Bryant and John Riegger after the opening round of the Dick's Sporting Goods Open at En Joie Golf Club in Endicott.  Dunlap fired a round of eight under par 64 while Day, Bryant and Riegger each shot six under par scores of 66.

Coming into this weekend Dunlap stands 26th in the Charles Schwab Cup rankings and has won $391,961 so far this season.  Last year he won better than $1.1 million and finished with ten top-ten finishes.

Four golfers shot rounds of 67 and trail Dunlap by three strokes. Defending champion Jeff Maggert shot even par with a score of 72.  Fan favorite and two-time B C Open champion Joey Sindelar was at 73 which is one stroke over par and another BC Open champion, John Daly fired up a round of 68 which is three-under par.

With concerns over possible rain and thunderstorms on Saturday tournament officials have moved up tee times in an attempt to beat the precipitation.  The first golfers will tee off at 7:30 AM.  The last group scheduled is Dunlap's group.  They tee off at 9:40 AM. If there are no delays they could complete the second round between 2 and 2:30 PM.
