Scammers Target Residents and Endicott Church

Authorities are warning residents in Broome County of a scam that preys on people wanting to help a local church.  Officials say someone is going door to door in the region claiming to collect money for a benefit to be held at Saint Anthony’s Church in Endicott.

The church just held it’s annual Saint Anthony’s Feast Days and does not have any other benefits on the calendar.

Anyone approached by the would-be scammer should not give any money and immediately call police.
