Santa Claus may be dressed in shorts when he visits our region this Christmas.  Temperatures are predicted to be mild all around New York and Pa.  Some areas of New York expect temperatures to reach into the 70's on Thursday.

Forecasters from the National Weather Service and AccuWeather are predicting mild temperatures into the weekend.  In the Binghamton area showers and a high of 66 is predicted on Christmas Eve Day and then sunny, dry and 50 degrees on Christmas Day.

The forecast for Buffalo calls for sunshine and 57 on Christmas Eve Day and clouds, showers and 47 degrees for a high on Christmas Day.  Syracuse is predicted to have a high of 68 on Thursday with morning showers. On Christmas Day Syracuse expects early sun, then clouds and a high of 48.

Lake Placid expects showers and a high of 63 on Thursday and then sunny and 43 on Christmas Day.  New York City is predicted to reach 71 on Thursday with fog and morning showers and sun turning to clouds and 63 on Christmas Day.
