Officials in the administration of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says work to replace two bridge decks in the Greater Binghamton area is getting underway.The Cuomo administration says $2.3 million is to be spent on the rehabilitation of spans over Route 17 in the Town of Sanford.

The work is getting underway with the resumption of the construction season.

New York Senator Thomas Libous and New York State Department of Transportation Officials say the work should be done before summer so that traffic bound for Oquaga Lake will not be impacted.
