A graduate of Vestal High School, who was murdered in the Sandy Hook Elementary School masacre in Connecticut, is being posthumously inducted into the Vestal Hall of Fame.

Mary Greene Sherlach was working as a school psychologist December 14th when gunman Adam Lanza entered Sandy Hook Elementary and began shooting children and adults.
Sherlach has been credited with dying while trying to shield students with her body.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for May 30th at the high school.
