Samurai Sword Confiscated in Johnson City

Johnson City Police responding to a report of a suspicious person sitting in the foyer of a Grand Avenue Building say they found 38 year old Brian Elijah in illegal possession of a weapon.

Police say Elijah had a samurai sword known as a katana as well as a machete and a set of Chuka Sticks.

He’s charged with criminal possession of a weapon and was sent to the Broome County Jail.
