Binghamton Restaurant Week is getting enthusiastic reviews from even outside of Broome County and there is a good reason for that, like Sake' Tumi on Court Street in Downtown Binghamton.

Kathy Whyte and "The Husband" enjoyed a lovely dinner and attentive service at the bargain prices being offered during Restaurant Week.

The order of Lotus Root Chips with the restaurant's signature sauce was a great treat along with the Maki sushi that was prepared perfectly.

Chef surprised the pair with another appetizer of spicy crab salad that was not only dressed in that marvelous sauce but also had crunchy tempura bits in it.  What a treat!  A dish definitely worth a trip to the restaurant on its own!

Don't write off Sake' Tumi as only sushi.  The entrees selected  were cashew chicken (HUGE) portion with chicken, vegetables and rice as well as a (cooked) roll of crab, cucumber, shrimp, nori and sushi rice.  Dessert was a berry cake with a little dollop of a green tea mousse on the side.

Jessica, the waitress, was wonderful. But we have to say every single person from the chef to the person filling the water glasses were so lovely to everyone in the restaurant.

If you can't make it for restaurant week and you are adventurous or like sushi, keep in mind Sake' Tumi has $1 sushi specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays with 10 pieces of sushi for $10, mix and match.

Check out all the deals for Restaurant Week for a few more days with three course lunch meals for $10 or less and dinner for $25 or less and look up the menu for Sake' Tumi online as well.
