Sacred Heart Ukranian Church Festival Set For Second Day

The Sacred Heart Ukranian Church is holding its annual Ukranian Festival today and tomorrow at the picnic grounds at 607 Brooks Road in Castle Creek. A big crowd turned out today to enjoy delicious Ukranian food, Ukranian beer and to shop for gifts and raffle prizes.

The Festival resumes tomorrow (Sunday) at 12 Noon and runs until 8 PM.  There will face painting for the kids beginning at 2 PM.  From 3-7 PM there will be live musical entertainment from Rooster and the Roadhouse Horns with Freddie Mendoza.  At 4 PM the Sacred Heart Ukranian Dancers will perform.

One of the Festival's most popular items is the Ukranian Dinner. This comes with three  Pyrohy, two Holubsti and one Kobassa with Sauerkraut and bread.  Delicious !  Also proving popular is the Chicken Barbecue Dinner featuring half a chicken, beans and coleslaw.  A la Carte menu items are also available as well as orders to go.
