Sacred Heart Ukrainian Chruch, 230 Ukranain Hill Road in Johnson City held its Easter Bazaar today from 10 AM - 2 PM.  Visitors enjoyed delicious homemade Ukrainian food and shopped for Pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs), baked goods, ceramics and raffle basket chances.

Some chose to eat at the Bazaar and others took their treats home with them.  Food featured included pryohy, holubtsi, paka, kolbasa and one of their specialties borscht soup.

Dozens of volunteers worked to make the benefit another success.  Father Teodor Czabala presides at the church and was on hand to greet and welcome visitors.  He travels to New York City before every major event at the church to purchase and deliver the freshest kolbasa possible.

Sacred Heart Ukranian Church also holds their Ukrainian Festival each summer.  This year's event is scheduled for July 13 and 14 at their picnic grounds on Brooks Road just off Route 11 in Castle Creek.
