Rush-Hour Crash Snarls Downtown Binghamton Traffic

A late-afternoon collision at a busy Binghamton intersection tied up drivers as medics tended to an injured person.

The crash at Main and Front streets was reported at 4:02 p.m. Tuesday.
A Toyota and a Kia collided at the intersection. A woman appeared to have sustained minor injuries. She was transported from the scene to Lourdes Hospital by a Superior ambulance.
After the two vehicles smashed into each other, the Kia struck a fire hydrant as it continued north on Front Street.
Traffic on Court, Main and Front streets was backed up until flat bed trucks removed the wrecked vehicles from the intersection.
