55 runners turned out to participate in the 5th Annual Run for Your Heart 5K held on the Vestal Rail Trail on Sunday afternoon.  The race began and ended at the Coal House.  By the 1 PM start time temperatures had climbed into the 70's.

The race is held in conjunction with the Southern Heart Walk which was held the Sunday before.  Money raised by participants and sponsors is included in the Heart Walk totals.  Over  $230,000 was raised by walkers with more to add to that total from the 5K run. Officials are still tabulating the combined funds total.

51 year-old Mookey Kent was the winner Sunday with a time of 16:47.  Finishing in second place was Adrian Milisaljevich with a time of 17:09 and J.P. Sacco captured third place running a time of 19:02.
