Run For Your Heart

The Fifth Annnual Run For Your Heart 5K is being held today (Sunday) on the Rail Trail in Vestal.  The run begins and ends at the Vestal Coal House.

Runners at all levels are invited to attend and participate.  In the past there have been many competitive runners as well as those who run as a regular part of their exercise program.

The Run for Your Heart 5K teams with last Sunday's Southern Tier Heart Walk to raise money in the fight against heart disease and stroke.  Funds raised go for advocacy and research.  Last weekend over $230,000 was raised by participants in the Heart Walk.  Those wishing to run today can register until shortly before the 1 PM start.
