The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are back home after a week on the road.  Tonight they open up an eight-game homestand at NYSEG Stadium at 6:35 (air at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF) against the Akron RubberDucks.  Heading into tonight's game the Rumble Ponies are 18-11 and in a tie for first place in the Eastern League's Eastern Division.

The RubberDucks are 13-17 and in fourth place in the circuit's Western Division.  P.J. Conlon is slated to start tonight's game on the mound for Binghamton.  In his last appearance on May 6th in New Hampshire he fired up a gem as he tossed a complete game one hitter for a Rumble Ponies victory. Opposing Conlon is Luis Lugo with a 1-1 record and an ERA of 2.42.

The Rumble Ponies went 5-2 on this last road trip and have gone 12-7 so far overall on the road.

Binghamton has won eight of its last ten outings and is 7-2 in the month of May.  Following this weekend series with Akron the Rumble Ponies have an open date on Monday and then host the Altoona Curve for three straight games before heading to Bowie to meet the Baysox for the first time this season.
