The Binghamton Rumble Ponies host the Erie Seawolves in a doubleheader this (Wednesday) afternoon beginning at 5:35 (air at 5:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF). Last night in the series opener Erie topped Binghamton 5-1.  Cam Gibson did the bulk of the damage for Erie hitting a grand slam home run in the sixth inning off starter Tony Dibrell.

Patrick Mizeika led the Ponies with a 2-4 showing at the plate.  He also drove in the lone Binghamton run for his team-leading 57th RBI.

Kevin Smith is the scheduled Binghamton starting pitcher for the first game while Joseph Shaw gets the nod for game two.  Sam Haggerty heads into tonight's action riding an eight-game hitting streak.

The Rumble Ponies along with the rest of the Eastern League have been plagued by wet weather this season.  Tonight marks the 11th doubleheader of the season for Binghamton.
