Matt Harvey carried the mail as long as he could but it was not enough as the Kansas City Royals came from behind to tie the game in the ninth and win it in the 12th inning to take the World Series in five games.

Harvey was brilliant through eight innings allowing no runs.  In the bottom of the eighth Harvey was told he was done and that the bullpen would take over.  He was so amped up that he convinced manager Terry Collins to let him go back out for the ninth inning.  As it turned out the Royals chased Harvey and scored two runs to send the game into extra innings and the rest is history.

Two big questions come out of that outcome.  Should Collins have lifted Harvey as planned ?  And, who would you rather have on the mound to close it in the ninth...Harvey, although tiring or someone out of the bullpen ?  Collins will be second-guessed for a long time but others say Harvey could have sealed the deal.  Mets' fans will never know.
