A Rochester man is facing charges in Johnson City after being pulled over on Harry L. Drive October 20.

Village Police say an officer saw a vehicle driven by 44 year old Derrick Gause driving erratically at 3:11 a.m., crossing the double yellow lines.

Gause was stopped in the Friendly’s restaurant parking lot and the officer said he was observed to be intoxicated.

Gause is charged with felony DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanor driving without a required ignition interlock device and traffic infractions of failure to keep right and unlicensed operation.

Police say the drunk driving charge is a felony since Guase had been previously convicted of DWI within the last ten years.

He’s been ordered to appear in Village Court at a later date.
