The investigation into a crash on Robinson Hill Road just west of the Village of Johnson City Saturday, January 16 has earned an Endwell man a court date to answer to a drunk driving charge for allegedly driving with a blood alcohol content at more than three times the legal limit.

Broome County Sheriff’s officials say they arrested 36 year old Matthew Mattucci after they found a vehicle in a ditch with Mattucci still sitting in the driver’s seat.  He was not hurt.

Authorities say Mattucci showed numerous signs of being intoxicate while he was talking to them and it was found he had been drinking at several locations around Broome County earlier in the evening.

Authorities say they measured Mattucci’s BAC at .26%.

In addition to DWI, he is charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18% or greater and moving from a lane unsafely.

He’s been ordered to appear in Town of Union Court at a later date.
