Roberson Museum’s Home for the Holidays is Open
A favorite holiday tradition in the Greater Binghamton is open at the Roberson Museum and Science Center through January 5th.
Speaking on WNBF’s weekly local public affairs program November 23rd, Roberson marketing director, Jason Fiume says this year’s Home for the Holidays blends some old favorites like displays depicting holiday traditions of the diverse ethnic groups that live in the region, with some modern features including a laser light show set to holiday music in the planetarium, stylized ‘up-lighting’ to show off the architectural features in the mansion and
whimsical showcase trees sponsored and decorated by local groups and businesses.
While holiday exhibits have been a staple at the Front Street, Binghamton museum for close to six decades, a grand masquerade New Year’s Eve ball is only in its third year this year.
Information on programs, hours and tickets are available online at www.roberson.org or by calling (607) 772-0660.
Southern Tier Close Up airs Saturdays at 12:30 p.m. on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
