The UMass Lowell River Hawks were too much for the Binghamton Bearcats in women's basketball Sunday in Lowell, Massachusetts.  The River Hawks won a 66-49 decision to up their record to 3-6 in America East play.  The Bearcats drop to 2-7.  It was the first game of the second half of the conference schedule for both teams.

UMass Lowell held a 33-18 edge at the half.  They outscored the Bearcats 33-31 in the second half to clnich the victory.  The River Hawks held a big edge in rebounding with a 52-32 margin.

Binghamton was led in scoring by Kim Albrecht and Jasmine Sina.  Both scored 14 points.  Gintare Surdokaite notched six points and grabbed seven rebounds.

The Bearcats return home Wednesday night to host the Hartford Hawks.  Hartford is in fourth place in the conference with a 5-3 record.
