Ringo Starr, a surviving member of the Beatles, is planning to perform in Binghamton.

Magic City Productions Monday announced Starr and his All Starr Band have been booked for September 18 at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.

The Tuesday night concert in Binghamton is scheduled to start at 7:30.

Tickets for the event are scheduled to go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. Prices range from $42.50 to $128.

Starr gained fame when he became the drummer for the Beatles in 1962. He has continued to perform since the group's break-up in 1970.

The Binghamton concert was added between previously-announced stops in Boston and Pittsburgh.

Tickets for the event may be purchased at ticketmaster.com or at the Arena box office.

Starr's tour now is playing venues in Europe. The All Starr Band includes Colin Hay, Steve Lukather, Gregg Rolie and Graham Gouldman.
