Richford Man Charged in Whitney Point Bar Fight

A Tioga County man is facing an assault charge following a bar fight in Whitney Point

Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the Half Time Lounge on Main Street for a report of a fight in front of the tavern.

23 year old Darren Ryan of Richford is accused of hitting another man in the face with a beer bottle, causing a large cut to the man’s face. Ryan is also accused of smashing the victim’s head to the ground several times.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Ryan charged with felony assault and was released following arraignment to await further court actions.
