When the Binghamton Mets play their first of six straight games against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at NYSEG Stadium tonight two Major League veterans will be in the lineup again.  Jose Reyes and Juan Lagares remain in Binghamton and are set for action tonight at 6:35 (air at 6:20 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF).

Last night both hit safely as the B-Mets clobbered Altoona 13-4 in the finale of their three-game series.  Reyes went 1-4 while Lagares went 2-6 and made a rocket throw to gun down a runner at home plate from his centerfield spot.  Reyes played third base and is expected to take over that position in New York for David Wright who is on the disabled list after neck surgery.

There is no set timetable for Reyes or Lagares to head back to the Big Leagues.  Reyes has not yet played this season after a domestic violence suspension.  He was signed by the Mets after the Colorado Rockies released him.

Lagares has been on the disabled list with a thumb injury.  Both players saw action with the Binghamton Mets earlier in their careers prior to reaching the Major Leagues.
