Residents Rally in Binghamton for $15 Minimum Wage

Southern Tier supporters of a higher minimum wage are adding their voices to a state-wide call in support of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s proposed phase-in to $15 an hour.

A legislative budget hearing was held in Albany February 3 to discuss workforce development while local supporters, including Citizen Action, gathered at the New York State Office Building in Binghamton to push the point.

Citizen Action is looking to collect 1,000 signatures on a petition to take to Albany for a state-wide rally March 15.
