Republicans were smiling widely at their headquarters at the Holiday Inn Arena after winning big in yesterday's elections.  Locally incumbent New York State Senator Thomas Libous defeated democratic challenger Andrea Starzak to retain his position.   In the sheriff's race David Harder won another term defeating challenger Chris Bracco.  Harder adds another four years to his 16 already served as Broome County Sheriff.
