Binghamton University sophomore standout Jordan Reed has earned his fourth America East Player of the Week honor after a monster week.  Reed averaged 31.5 points per game and 13.5 rebounds in two games last week.

Jordan set a BU Division I record with 33 points against Hartford on Thursday night.  He was held to four points in the first half and exploded in the second half and overtime with 29 more.  He coupled the 33 points with 13 rebounds.  Then against regular-season champion Vermont on Sunday, Reed scored 30 points and added 14 rebounds.  He became the first America East player since the great Taylor Coppenrath to score 30 or more points in consecutive games.

Reed prepares for this weekend's America East Tournament in Albany averaging 15.7 points per game and 9 rebounds per contest.  At 15.7 points per game he is just one-tenth of a point behind UMass Lowell's sharp-shooting Akeem Williams at 15.8 points per game.  Reed leads the America East with 9 rebounds per game.  His closest competitor is Brian Voelkel with an average of 8.1 boards per game.

Reed will lead the Bearcats into the post-season Saturday night when BU meets third-seed Hartford at 8:30 at SEFCU Arena (airtime at 8:15 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF).
