Binghamton Bearcat senior forward Rebecca Carmody scored her one thousandth career point and helped key an amazing comeback win at UMBC last (Wednesday) night.  Her Bearcats were outscored 17-1 in the first quarter and were down 20 points late in the second quarter.  Then came the dramatic turnaround.  Binghamton went on an 11-0 run to close out the half trailing 30-21.

Carmody's milestone basket came with 2:42 left in the third quarter and put the Bearcats ahead 39-38.  They never relinquished the lead and gave Binghamton its biggest comeback victory in its Division I history.  Carmody finished with 12 points and nine rebounds.

Karlee Krchnavi equaled a team record 19 rebounds while scoring 16 points to play a huge role in Binghamton's comeback.  Hayley Moore hit four three-point baskets and finished with 14 points and also was key in the BU victory.

Binghamton's victory puts its America East record at 5-7 while the Retrievers fall to 1-10 in conference action.  The Bearcats are idle until next Wednesday when they host UMass Lowell at 7:00 P.M at the Events Center.
