The Binghamton Mets dropped a 9-6 decision to the Reading Fightin Phils today (Wednesday) at FirstEnergy Stadium.  Binghamton has now lost five games in a row and falls to 14-16.  Starter Mickey Jannis falls to 1-2 after giving up seven runs in five innings pitched.

Binghamton battled back with five runs in the eighth inning highlighted by a Matt Oberste grand slam blast but could not overtake Reading.  The B-Mets head to Portland, Maine where they begin a five-game series on Thursday evening at 6:00 PM (air at 5:45 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  The series includes a doubleheader on Friday beginning at 5:45 PM.

Robert Gsellman starts for the B-Mets in the series opener.  Portland counters with Keith Couch.  Following a day off on Monday Binghamton returns home to host the Altoona Curve beginning at 6:35 PM on Tuesday, May 17th.
