Ramsaran Charged With Murder In Wife’s Death

A Chenango County man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of his wife.

Authorities say 38-year-old Ganesh Ramsaran of New Berlin was arrested Friday.

The arrest came more than five months after the man reported his wife, 36-year-old Jennifer Ramsaran, missing. Her body was found February 26 in the town of Pharsalia.

Ramsaran has been charged with second-degree murder. He was arraigned before Chenango County Judge Frank Revoir Jr.

Ramsaran was sent to Chenango County Jail on $150,000 bail. He's scheduled to appear in New Berlin town court Thursday.
