The winner of last night's scheduled game between the Binghamton Mets and Reading Fightin Phils was Mother Nature.  Rain that began shortly before the game forced cancellation of the contest.  Since it was the last scheduled meeting of the year between the two teams the game has officially been cancelled and will not be made up.

The B-Mets overall record is 54-61 while Harrisburg starts the series with a slate of 62-55 just 2.5 games behind Altoona in the Western Division.

Harrisburg hosts the B-Mets in a 6:00 PM game Saturday night and a 1:30 game on Sunday afternoon..  Binghamton will then travel to New Hampshire for a five-game series begining next Monday night.  The B-Mets return home to host the Portland Sea Dogs next Friday night, August 19 at 7:05 PM.
