The new owner of the historic Masonic Temple building in Binghamton has hired a project manager to development plans for the property.

An entity controlled by Isaac Anzaroot acquired the massive West Side structure four months ago.

The building, which opened in 1922, is located on the northwest corner at Main and Murray streets.

Anazaroot Thursday said he has hired a Binghamton University graduate to serve as a manager to handle "all aspects" of developing future uses for the site.

Anzaroot said the manager, who he did not identify, will work with local officials and residents to determine what can be done with the building.

City councilwoman Dani Cronce said she's given the new owner information she's collected over the past three years as she worked to come up with plans to restore the property.

Cronce said she's "very glad" the new owner is committed to developing plans to bring the MasonicTemple back to life.

A Binghamton man had purchased the property at a 2015 tax auction with the goal of setting the place up as an entertainment venue but his plans didn't pan out.
