Bob Joseph/WNBF News

A Johnson City man faces felony drug-related charges after probation officers discovered a meth lab in his apartment.

Authorities say 21-year-old Thomas Cole Jr. of Endicott Avenue was arrested Friday.

According to Johnson City police, Cole was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.

Investigators say Cole was arrested after members of the Broome County probation department spotted a meth lab during a visit to the man’s residence.

State police were called to help village police safely remove the materials associated with the purported illegal activity.
