Prison Time for Endicott Man Who Preyed on Disabled Children

An Endicott man will spend 30 years in federal prison for preying on children.  58 year old Richard Squires pleaded guilty in August to felony sexual exploitation of a child, receipt of child pornography and possessing child pornography.

Prosecutors said Squires preyed on the vulnerable children with four out of the five cited in the case being developmentally disabled.

In addition to prison time, Squires is banned from contact with children and from areas where children gather. He must get mental health treatment and will be supervised the rest of his life as a sex offender.
