No injuries are reported after downed power lines apparently sparked a fire at a vacant house in Campville.

Firefighters from Campville, Apalachin, West Corners, Owego and the South Side Fire Departments were called to Route 17C shortly after 7 p.m. May 17 but had to wait for the power line to be neutralized before they could begin putting out the blaze.

The fire heavily damaged the house after initially starting in nearby brush.
