Broome County Sheriff’s officials say a Port Crane woman is accused of stealing a bank check from an acquaintance and cashing it.

Authorities say video from a local credit union is credited for confirming 41 year old Loretta Parliman was involved in writing out the bank check for $3,000 and cashing it.

Deputies acted on a tip and located Parliman on Robinson Street in the City of Binghamton Friday, May 6 two weeks after a woman reported her check had been stolen.

Parliman is charged with felony counts of identity theft, criminal possession of a forged instrument and grand larceny.
