A Broome County man was arrested after police say he was accused of driving 107 miles-per-hour in a 45 mile-per-hour zone.

Authorities say Matthew Hartman of Port Crane wouldn't pull over for a Broome County sheriff's deputy who spotted a vehicle speeding on Upper Court Street in Binghamton.

According to the sheriff's office, a deputy pursued the vehicle into the town of Kirkwood shortly after four o'clock this morning.

Police say speeds exceeded 100 miles-per-hour during the chase.

A sheriff's deputy eventually was able to stop the vehicle with assistance from state police. They found two boys - ages 16 and 17 - were in the car. Some drug paraphernalia also was found in the vehicle.

Authorities say the 22-year-old Hartman had a suspended driver license. He faces several charges, including unlawfully fleeing a police officer and reckless endangerment.

Hartman was arraigned in Conklin town court and sent to Broome County Jail on $2,000 bail.
