Port Crane Man Accused Of Assaulting Child

State police have arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with the reported injury of a child.

Authorities say Michael Clark of Port Crane was charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Investigators say the arrest followed a report made to Broome County Child Protective Services.

Police say it was determined Clark had struck and injured a nine-year-old child.

Clark was arraigned in Fenton Town Court and sent to Broome County Jail on $1,500 bail.
