The biggest challenge for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies this season has not come from the tough competition in the Eastern League but simply playing the games.  The Rumble Ponies never got started Wednesday night and finally had their home game with the Trenton Thunder postponed due to inclement weather.  The teams waited for over 90 minutes until it was decided there would be no game.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, August 3rd.  The first game is set to begin at 5:05 PM (pregame coverage begins at 4:50 PM on News Radio 1290 WNBF). This postponement is a franchise-record tenth at home and fourteenth overall.

The Binghamton franchise record for overall postponed games in one season is 15. That was set in the Binghamton Mets first season in 1992. With Thursday's doubleheader the Rumble Ponies now have four doubleheaders scheduled before the regular season ends on Labor Day weekend.
