The Trenton Thunder was silenced by the offensive lightning of the Binghamton Rumble Ponies on Monday night.  The Ponies rolled to a 10-1 victory to up their season record to 36-38.  Binghamton blew open the game with a four run third inning.

Starter Scott Copeland had a solid start for Binghamton going seven shutout innings to put his record at 5-2.  He gave up just six hits on the way to earning the win.  The victory puts Binghamton's record against the Thunder at 3-4 this season.

The two teams square off again NYSEG Stadium tonight at 6:35 (air at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  Marcos Molina gets the starting assignment for the Rumble Ponies while  Domingo Acevedo counters for the Thunder.

Tonight is the second in the four game series with Trenton. Games on Wednesday and Thursday evenings are also scheduled for 6:35 starts.
