The Binghamton Rumble Ponies try to rebound tonight when they visit Akron for the second game of a four-game series against the RubberDucks at Canal Park.  Air is 6:50 P.M. on News Radio 1290 WNBF.

It was a disappointing night last night for Binghamton.  Starting pitcher Mickey Jannis gave up all three Akron runs in the first inning and Binghamton fell short losing a 3-2 decision.  The win gives Akron the most victories in the Eastern league with 52.  Binghamton falls to 43-45 with the loss.

Tonight, Binghamton sends Scott Copeland to the mound.  He sports  a 5-3 record with an ERA of 4.62. Akron counters with Aaron Civale who posts a 2.35 ERA and brings a record of 5-2 into the game.

Outfielder Tim Tebow had an excellent June.  The Heisman Trophy winner has now hit safely in eight straight games and has raised his batting average to .270.  Tebow had four at-bats in Wednesday night's All-Star game and went 1-4 with a double.
