The Binghamton Rumble Ponies continue their homestand with three straight games against the Akron RubberDucks at NYSEG Stadium at 6:35 tonight (air at 6:20 on News Radio 1290 WNBF).  Binghamton took New Hampshire to eleven innings yesterday before recording a 7-6 victory.  The Rumble Ponies took two of the three games in the weekend series.

Tonight the Rumble Ponies carry an 11-9 record into action.  The RubberDucks are 10-12 and are affiliates of the Cleveland Indians.  Donovan Hand gets the start for Binghamton.  He makes his second start against Akron. Last week he pitched in Akron and went 6.1 innings and allowed three runs.  He did not get the decision in that game that saw the Rumble Ponies earn a 4-3 win.

Michael Peoples starts for the RubberDucks.  He is 1-1 and makes his fifth start of the season.  Champ Stuart is on fire for the Rumble Ponies. He has been named the Eastern League Player of the Week.  In six games he hit .455 going 10-22 with two home runs and five runs batted in.  He also stole eleven bases and leads the Eastern league in that category.
