In the first game of a four-game series at NYSEG Stadium the Binghamton Rumble Ponies got by the Trenton Thunder 3-2. The long-awaited Eastern League "Subway Series" between the New York Mets and New York Yankees Double-A affiliates goes on through the weekend.

In last night's game Trenton jumped out to a two-run lead in the first inning.  Binghamton battled back with a pair of runs in the home half of the inning and then took the lead in the second inning on a passed ball allowing Tim Tebow to score from third base.  That proved to be the eventual game-winning tally.

David Roseboom hurled three scoreless innings and was credited with the win.  Binghamton ups its record to 45-50.  The series continues through the weekend with night games Friday and Saturday and a 2:05 contest on Sunday. Tonight's game begins at 7:05 P.M. with pre-game coverage at 6:50 on News Radio 1290 WNBF.
