A town of Virgil man faces felony charges after Cortland County Sheriff's Department officers discovered an active meth lab.

Authorities say 41-year-old Keith Dodge had been the owner of the Sherman Road property where the meth-making facility was found.

Officers were at the site to evict Dodge in a foreclosure action.

State police and an environmental waste company were called after the meth lab was uncovered.

Dodge was taken into custody a short distance from the property. He was charged with unlawful manufacture of meth and unlawful disposal of meth lab material.

Dodge was arraigned in Cortlandville town court and ordered held on $5,000 bail.

Police say more charges are possible in connection with the investigation.
