Investigators say 29-year-old Amber Joy of Morris was charged with appearance in public under the influence of narcotics or drugs.

Joy also was accused of unlawful possession of marijuana.

Police say troopers were sent to Joy's residence after someone called 911 to report a woman was screaming on Main Street in Morris.

According to state police, when the troopers checked on the woman's welfare, she appeared to be under the influence of a drug. They also noticed a plastic bag containing marijuana.

Joy was arraigned in Morris town court and sent to Otsego County Jail on $1,500 bail.
