A portion of the downtown Binghamton roundabout has been damaged - again.

City officials say a section of the curb on Court Street just east of Chenango Street sustained extensive damage in the latest incident at the traffic circle.

The police and the Department of Public Works are investigating to determine what caused the damage.

The incident is believed to have occurred sometime at night September 23.

Deputy mayor Jared Kraham said the damage likely will be "expensive to repair." There was no immediate estimate as to what that cost might be.
