Fox News Channel personality Jeanine Pirro was pulled over after troopers said she was clocked driving 119 mph on Route 17 in Tioga County.

According to the New York Daily News, Pirro was stopped Sunday afternoon in the Town of Nichols.

The 66-year-old Pirro was issued a ticket for speeding. The newspaper reported the ticket is returnable to Nichols town court by mail or in person on January 8.

Fox News Channel issued a statement from Pirro indicating she had been driving for hours to visit her ailing mother, who lives in Elmira. Pirro said she didn't realize how fast she was driving.

In the statement, Pirro said she believes "in the rule of law and I will pay the consequences."

Pirro is a former Westchester County district attorney. She currently hosts "Justice with Judge Jeanine" on the Fox News Channel.
