Authorities say a Port Crane man was arrested after a sheriff's deputy spotted him spray-painting a stolen motorcycle.

Investigators say 33-year-old Steven Bailey of Route 369 was charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a felony.

According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, Bailey was in the process of painting a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle in the garage of a home at 2 Baker Road in the town of Chenango.

The motorcycle had been reported stolen from a neighboring residence on Baker Road.

Bailey was arrested on Sunday. He was arraigned in Chenango town court and sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
