Police: Body of Missing Vestal Man Found

Authorities say the body of a Vestal man who had been reported missing almost three months ago was discovered in the town.

According to police, a Vestal resident found the body of 59-year-old Victor Tabuntschikow on Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators say an autopsy was performed Friday morning at Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City.

Detectives say the autopsy determined Tabuntschikow's death was not suspicious nor was it the result of any criminal action.

Police had said Tabuntschikow had last been seen on the morning of December 17.

A funeral Mass for Tabuntschikow will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Blessed Sacrament Church in Vestal Saturday at 11 a.m.
