Two people have been arrested after a man reported he was robbed in his downtown Binghamton apartment.

Authorities say 27-year-old Alex Comer and 26-year-old Melissa Depugh have been charged with robbery.

Police say Comer was taken into custody in the town of Binghamton by Community Response Team officers. Depugh was taken into custody by investigators on Oak Street in the city.

Detectives say a 27-year-old man reported he was robbed March 13 at his residence on Jay Street.

The man told investigators he met an escort through a website. He said the woman visited his apartment and a short time later a man entered.

The man was said to have been armed with what appeared to be a handgun and a knife.

The woman then reportedly took cash from the victim's wallet and drove away with her accomplice.

Police believe a BB gun and a collapsible baton were used in the robbery. Those items were recovered.

Comer and Depugh were arraigned in Binghamton City Court and sent to Broome County Jail.
